LONG TERM GOALS - To provide a Christian camp and retreat complex locally, adventure programs for youth, and utilizing the facilities of Shiloh Adventure, Inc. to accommodate events and activities for Christian churches, Para-church, and non-profit organizations that support our mission and purpose. It's all about .... Community Christian camping is an experience within a temporary community using the outdoor setting and trained leaders to meet spiritual objectives. It's all about .... Connection: Through camping children receive FUN, BONDING TIME WITH FRIENDS, EXPOSURE TO THE GOSPEL, LIFE LESSONS, GOD-CONSCIOUSNESS. It's all about .... Commitment: Shiloh Adventure is committed to providing a summer camp experience that helps to change the lives of campers through personal attention, local involvement, and, above all, sharing a contagious enthusiasm for Jesus. Whether today's children become tomorrow's leaders depends largely on the response of the family, the Church and the community. Will we simply look the other way--as does most of society? CHARTER - Shiloh is a non-profit, inter-denominational organization incorporated in the State of Florida, and a member of Christian Camping & Conference Association (see www.ccca.org). We have a 501[C] [3] designation from the IRS. Registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services under Chapter 496. Founder's Story - Laura Bryant As a single mom with four boys, I have learned how frustrating it is for kids to have nothing to do during the summer months. Because of their grandparents, my boys have had the opportunity to attend a Christian summer camp in Missouri. "Attending summer camp had a powerful impact on them. Not only did they come back with blonder hair and darker skin, but with more confidence and a feeling of accomplishment. They had awesome role models, experienced beautiful nature in the great outdoors, and learned that God had created them for a purpose." That wonderful summer camp experience is now in Central Florida. All children can benefit from overnight camp and they don't have to travel thousands of miles. Many children who are left home alone all summer tend to feel lonely, abandoned and directionless. Shiloh Adventure Camp gives these children the opportunity to experience the tranquility of nature in a fun loving environment while bonding with Christian role models and embracing and recognizing the power of God's love for them. By working together, you, I, community leaders, and the church can help give many more children the opportunity to experience the Shiloh difference. |
